組子体験

昨日、インテリアコーディネーター協会の研修で、組子細工の体験をした。
講師はしまね伝統工芸師の「ウッドアート門脇」の門脇和弘氏だ。
昨年のインテリアコーディネーターフェスタにランプシェードなどを出展して頂いたご縁。

体験したのは、本当に初歩的なものだった。小さな木のパーツを金具も、接着剤もなく、
組んでいく「組子細工」は見ている以上に、難しいと思った。
組子といえば、障子の骨組みが一般的だが、日本ならではの伝統工芸の組子が、
こんなにもデザインの多様性があって、繊細なものだとは・・・・！

「これは海外にもっていったら絶賛されるわぁ！」

「門脇さん、ヨーロッパ進出しましょうよ！」
　
　勝手な私の提案に、門脇さん笑ってましたけど。
